When it comes to hair, I always get so many compliments but I actually don’t use a lot of products! I have been ‘blessed’ with very thick hair, and I noticed that the more I use, the heavier it gets. That’s why I like to keep it simple and only use a few products. When I’m curling my hair I use a heat protector and for some volume I like to use a texturizing (salt) spray or a volume spray. Recently I got to try out a volume spray called Grand Ambition from the brand Noir Stockholm! I completly love the minimalistic look and feel of the brand and their products and couldn’t wait to try it out and review it today!

Noir Stockholm was founded in 2007 by Creative Director Hans Nilsson and Manager Ellen Eriksson. Hans Nilsson is an internationally well established editorial and celebrity hairstylist. What I like about the brand is that they wanted to create the perfect combination of style and care, without compromising on the caring qualities or the functionality of the products, which is both really important. All their products have also been tested in their salon, on set and on stage!

As you can see on the pictures, the design is really minimalistic and clean, which I love (obviously since my entire layout is in this design). The volume spray has a very warm and fresh scent (vanilla, mandarin, patchouli, jasmine, pink pepper, cedarwood), which isn’t too overwhelming. You use it to build volume and create more shape in your hair. As I already mentioned before in the article, I have very thick hair naturally! But this also means that there is zero volume in it and it’s also hard to create volume especially on the top where the roots are. After I curl my hair I love to spray this spray towards my roots in a few big sections. After this I use a brush to give it more shape (up side down) and there you go, big bouncable volume! I think the picture shows enough. I can’t think it out of my hair styling routine. I used it on the day that I was shooting some outfit pictures and later on when I was looking at the pictures, I realized how beautiful my hair looked. My first experience with Noir Stockholm has been an amazing and I will definitely take a look at the rest of the products since it’s also available in The Netherlands now!
