After nine CHANEL beauty collections so far, Lucia Pica considers texture for the FALL / WINTER 2018 COLLECTION, where it’s all about matte surfaces and vibrant colors. Even the packaging of the eyeshadows and lip products are completely matte. According to Pica, you need a little extra help from color now it’s fall and as the light darkens outside. Since the winter is coming, your skin will grow paler, you are more covered up with clothes and you have the opportunity to create stronger looks. You get to play with color, to bring the face back into prominence.

I have always been a big fan of these alle-in-one pens, using them as a base for a more intense eye look, as eyeshadow, or even eyeliner. The pens have a very creamy and blendable texture and are super longwearing.

If you want to go for an even bolder matte lip, than the Le Rouge Crayon de Coleur Mat is perfect for you! It’s my favorite makeup product that CHANEL has launched so far this year and probably one of the products, where I got the most compliments on! These jumbo longwear matte lip products are extremly pigmented, which makes them super easy to apply, since the textures glides on. They are also perfect to carry in your bag on-the-go. Trust me, I have applied them over 10 times in the train, on my way to work, and every time I was able to create the perfect lip look. During my 9 hour work day, I only re-apply the lip color once ánd it’s also waterproof.

CHANEL Le Vernis – € 25,00
Since the opportunities for matte finishes are endless, CHANEL also launched 2 matte nail varnishes: a bold, enigmatic red and a rich burgundy. The matte colors of Le Vernis don’t reveal themselves straightaway: they have a distorted quality, as if the viewed through the filter of a Polaroid lens. You can definitely see this on the swatches on the pictures as well. I’m a big fan of red nailpolishes, especially during fall/winter, I don’t even wear anything else on my nails. That’s why I was very excited to see these new matte shades.
