It almost feels like it was yesterday when I was writing the review for the CHANEL Holiday collection and today I’m presenting you the CHANEL Spring Summer 2019 makeup collection Vision D’Asie: L’Art Du Détail. It’s a subtle and luminous collection that takes inspiration from the photographic act of capturing details and elevating their textures and color using light. Be prepared for sophisticated glowy makeup, suffused with the easy elegance of modern East Asia.
THE LIPS
I knew that the Rouge Allure Liquid Powder (€ 37,00) has been released last year, but I never tried them out. That’s why I was very excited when I saw them in the CHANEL Spring Summer 2019 collection as well in 2 vibrant shades: Electric Blossom (a poppy orange) and Bittersweet (a violet fuchsia). Another lip product that has the beautiful rich matte finish is the Rouge Allure Velvet (€ 37,00) in 3 shades: Nuance (an apricot beige), Impérial (a tile red), Infrarose (a luminous raspberry). In this review I will be swatching the first two shades.

THE EYES
Something that you might remember from the previous Spring Summer collection is the Les 9 Ombres. From ivory champagne to deep petrol blue: in this N°2 edition named Quintessence (€ 80,00) you will find a mix of shimmer, high-shine and matte eyeshadows. I have been using the previous palette a lot because of the many different shades and textures in just one palette. I always take the palette with me when I’m travelling because it’s easy to make many looks with it, not just for daytime but for nighttime too. More looks with this palette are coming up in a seprate article!

THE FACE
Maybe you already have catched a glimpse of this product in the picture above with the eyelook. But if you are into the natural-looking glowy look than you will fall in love with this new product of CHANEL. The Baume Essentiel silky gel stick (€ 42,00) will glide onto your skin and release a dewy freshness. You can apply it everywhere on the face: on cheekbones for a fresh and dewy effect, on cheeks before applying cream blush, on eyelids for a shiny finish and even on your lips! To make the application easier, they have also designed a specific brush: Pinceau Illuminateur Rétractable (€ 43,00). This brush is travellproof and has the same size as a lipstick, which makes it so easy to throw it in your makeup bag. The Baume Essentiel comes in 2 shades: transparent (a very light rosy shade) and sculpting (a slightly satiny peach shade).

THE NAILS
I was surprised by how excited I was about the nail polishes (€ 26,00) from the Spring-Summer 2019 collection. It includes 2 new shades: Bleached Mauve (a mauvy beige) and Techno Bloom (a neon fuchsia). I just love the beautiful contrast between the colors. It reflects the duality of the contemporary East Asian experience: grace and modesty meets a jolt of unbashed electric color.
