This fall Givenchy is launching two new lipstick lines: Deep Velvet and Night Noir. When I received both collections, I got so excited, I couldn’t wait to try them out. Today I will be reviewing all of the shades from the new Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet collection. I can already give a little spoiler: these are the best powdery matte lipsticks with high pigmentation I have tried!
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet
Le Rouge Deep Velvet embodies the chic and sensorial attributes of the Givenchy Maison. Covered in a sumptuous red velvet case echoing its powdery matte finish, it is the ultimate couture signature to your look.
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 10 Beige Nu
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 14 Rose Bosé
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 25 Fuchsia Vibrant
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 33 Orange Sable
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 37 Rouge Grainé
Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet – 42 Violet Velours
Let’s first start with the absolutely stunning velvet packaging! The velvet lipstick case looks and feel extremly luxurious, it gives me christmas vibes straight away. The lipstick itself is very soft and lightweight, with a powdery matte texture that will glide on your lips. What I like so much about this formula is that you just need to apply a very thin layer, and it’s already extremly pigmented ánd matte. It doesn’t feel like you are wearing something on your lips, and it doesn’t dry them out! This is because the formula is infused with mango butter for extra comfort. So if you are into the powdery matte lips, I can highly recommend the Givenchy Le Rouge Deep Velvet (€ 38,-).
