Since I started to work from home because of the corona situation, I noticed how everyone develops a different morning routine. Some people put on their loungewear and dive straight behind the laptop, others get ready like they used to incl a full make-up routine, but what I love to do is take a long shower and apply a new fragrance based on the weather and my mood for that day. Other people might find it a waste to apply perfume when you are not leaving the house but to me it feels like I’m ready to start the day. Luckily we have a lot of new fragrance launches coming up, and one of them is the new Lancôme Idôle L’Intense!
Top notes: Mandarin Orange, Bitter Orange
Heart notes: Turkish Rose, Grasse Rose, Musk, Egyptian Jasmine, Jasmine Sambac, Jasmine
Base notes: Patchouli, Cedar, Cashmere Wood, Acácia, Sandalwood, Vanilla
What I first noticed about Lancôme Idôle L’Intense is how beautiful and unique the bottle of the fragrance is. I haven’t tried the original Lancôme Idôle, I just saw pictures of it online, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received this in real life. The sleek and thin design with the rosegold color give the bottle such a luxurious feel to it. Just like we are used to from Lancôme!
Lancôme Idôle L’Intense is a sweet fragrance but with a musky layer under it. It starts off with the scent of roses, mandarin and jasmine, while later on you will smell the cashmere wood, musk and vanilla. A very interesting combination of sweet and clean/fresh. It’s a fragrance that you can wear all year round for any occassion. I haven’t tried the original Lancôme Idôle, so it’s hard to compare how different it is from that one, but to me this one is already a big winner!
