Today I’m reviewing something new when it comes to the fragrance world, which makes me very excited. CHANEL has launched a new variation of COCO MADEMOISELLE, featuring a sophisticated and confidential way to wear this fragrance: L’EU PRIVÉE. The reason why I got so excited about this launch is because I have been wearing perfume before going to bed for many years now. Since I have a collection of over 100 fragrances, I can’t wear them all at once during the day so I apply them at night too. And let’s be honest, don’t we all just love going to bed smelling good? Olivier Polge (Perfumer-Creator for the House of CHANEL) thought the same and created a delicate version of COCO MADEMOISELLE for night.
He imagined the oriental scent like a watercolor and that’s the best way how I could describe it as well. He toned down the woods but added softness and comfort with the floral and musky notes. It’s truly a delicate version of the original which makes me feel sensual and classy. Even the bottle is made of frosted glass, which will give you a glimpse of the warm fragrance within, but still remain mysterious at the same time. And that’s exactly how I feel when I wear it before bed.
I’m so pleaseantly surprised how CHANEL went outside of their comfort zone with this new way of wearing a fragrance, but still staying so close to Coco Mademoiselle herself and the CHANEL DNA. You can wear the fragrance on the skin, in your hair or even on your sheets or negligée. Usually you can’t spray a regular fragrance on all these places, because it’s simply too strong and it could damage your hair or your sheets. So if you love the idea of adding a fragrance to your night rituals than this is the best one I can advice to you.
