Nars Afterglow Overlust Cheek Palette

Nars is famous for a lot of their products, but to me the blushes are the most iconics ones. I notice that every time when I use their cheek palettes, I get complimented on my makeup. This summer Nars is launching a new cheek palette in their Afterglow collection. As you can imagine, I couldn’t wait to start trying it out to see if it’s as good as the previous ones.

Build and blend your way to an irresistible glow with Afterglow Overlust Cheek Palette. A trio of powder blushes in versatile shades create a natural-looking rush of color, while innovative gel-to-powder highlighters featuring Skinfused Glow Technology impart a pearlescent luster that glides effortlessly and layers seamlessly for a second-skin finish. Uniquely luminous. Universally covetable. Limited edition.

Top row: Tied Up, Deep Down, Drift

Bottom row: Let it burn, Get lost, Body talk

As you can see on the picture or maybe read from the description, the cheek palette consists of 3 highlighters and 3 blushes. This doesn’t mean you can only use one blush and one highlighter at the time, in fact I love to mix and apply different ones to shape my face the best way as possible.

What I love so much about the formula of the NARS cheek palettes is that it’s never too pigmented or chalky. You can layer the blushes and highlighters perfectly, without it looking cakey. This is usually my problem with make-up product that look beautiful on Instagram, but terrible in real life. NARS knows how to give you the perfect result, it looks almost like it’s an filter.

After blush & highlighter

I don’t think I need to explain a lot, because the after pictures show how beautiful the result is with different shades from the NARS Afterglow Overlust Cheek Palette. I used Body Talk as a bit of a ‘contour’ blush, above that I applied the peachy shade Get lost, mixed with Let it burn. For the highlighting part I went for te shade Tied up. I could definitely recommend it if you have a textured skin and struggle with finding the right make-up for your cheeks or just love glowy blushes that blend very well on your skin!

I love this palette! The shades look great on you, I think they’ll be a bit too dark for my skin tone though 🙁
