Maybe you noticed something different about my website, not only am I writing in English now, but I also changed my domain name yesterday! The main content will stay the same, but I decided that I wanted to write more about lifestyle orientated topics as well and this new domain name will allow me to do that. The reason why I decided to write in English is because of my international followers that have grown so much. I really felt like I needed a change, and I’m so happy I made it. Today I’m going to show you two new products that Urban Decay launched this fall, the new Troublemaker Mascara and the Velvetizer Powder. *
Urban Decay – The Velvetizer – Translucent Mix-in Medium – €35,00
The Velvetizer is a very interesting product from Urban Decay, something I didn’t have in my make-up collection yet. It is a translucent powder that allows you to instantly velvetize your foundation, simply by mixing a dime-size amount of this powder into your liquid foundation. Or you can use it as a finishing powder to fix your make-up. I tried both ways to see which one I would like the best.
With the first option I followed the instructions and mixed a bit of the powder with my liquid foundation on my hand. I usually apply liquid foundation straight to my face with a beautyblender, so this was a different proces. I noticed that I lost some foundation in the process and that it was a bit hard in the beginning to figure out the right amount. But once you have done it, it gives your entire face a beautiful velvet finish! The application can be a bit messy in the beginning, so you will have to get used to it first. But for a special occasion like a night out or a party I would definitely use it in this way again!
If you are short on time, or you prefer a quick make-up look the second option will be perfect. I use a kabaki brush or a powder brush to pick some of the product up and apply it on my face to fix my make-up. I’m personally always in a rush, so this option is the most appealing to me! This product is hands down one of the best powders I have tried to give my face an airbrushed look. It comes very close to my personal favorite which is the Universelle Libre Powder. Those people with oily skin know the struggle when after an hour your skin is looking oily again. It didn’t matter how much MAC Prep&Prime powder I used, it was just not working! When I tried this powder, my skin stayed mat for at least 8-9 hours! I noticed I wasn’t the only one because all the review online including the one of the beauty queen (Tati) are very positive. The powder also has the most silky texture I ever tried!

Urban Decay – Troublemaker mascara – €27,50
Here comes trouble! Sexy, fluttery, intensely black lashes, seem to be the trend of 2017! We have already seen this with other brands for example Lancome, where they introduced the Monsieur Big mascara and now it’s time for Urban Decay. The tube of the mascara is hard to miss with its prismatic finish.
The custom brush is unlike any you’ve ever tried. They designed it to comb and separate lashes to make it look like you have more of them! The brush actually fans out lashes as it coats them, separating and curling each lash while laying down the perfect amount of mascara. And it’s designed to reach even tiny inner-corner lashes, no matter which way you hold it.
Personally I’m really fan of natural looking fluttery lashes, so I tried to create this effect with this mascara! On the left pictures I’m not wearing any eye make-up, and on the pictures on the right I’m wearing the mascara. I usually wear eyeliner every single day, so that is why I also applied a wing eyeliner on the last picture. I like the formula of the mascara, it is not too wet, which makes your lashes clumpy. It is also not too dry where it flakes after a few hours. It stays on my eyes perfectly the entire day and is even hard to take off at night!
Urban Decay is 100% cruelty-free.
Oh die mascara, echt gorgeous! Hele mooie producten 🙂
