Last month I went for a short trip of 4 days to Paris during the holiday season, a bit of business but also a bit of pleasure! The last time I was in Paris was years ago and since it’s currently the top ‘Instagram’ location, I was very excited to go there again. I especially looked forward to visit the Christian Dior Couturier de Reve and of course eat a lot of macarons. Last week I published the first part and today it’s time for part two!
Palais-Royal, Paris
Palais-Royal, Paris
In the morning we visited the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the museum is showing the exhibition ‘Christian Dior, couturier du rêve‘ to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of the House of Dior. We waited 2 hours in the line outside, but it was the most beautiful exhibition I have ever seen. There will be a separate article coming up! After visiting the exhibition we decided to walk around the area and couldnt leave without taking a picture at Palais Royal!
Café Le Nemours – Place Colette, Paris
Café Le Nemours – Place Colette, Paris
Right next to Palais Royal I discovered my favorite hotspot in Paris for a coffee or a lunch called Café Le Nemours! It’s a very fancy Parisian chic place with a beautiful terrace, which you will definitly notice when you walk pass by it. We just ordered a cappuccino, but later on when I noticed how delicious the food looked, I regretted not ordering something as well. The staff is also very friendly and polite, and it’s a place that I will come back to when I’m in Paris again, to escape the tourists and have a true Parisian experience.
Dior – Place Vendôme, Paris
Guerlain – Place Vendôme, Paris
If you are a luxury lover, than it’s hard not to take a look in the Vendôme neighbourhood, where you will find famous stores such as Dior, Rolex, Cartier, Chanel and Boucheron with fine jewellery and haute couture. Now it’s the time to also welcome fine perfumery in this prestigious aura, with the new Guerlain Boutique located at 356 rue Saint-Honoré. As a true Guerlain lover I had to visit this new boutique and it was absolutely stunning inside. There is a fragrance library with 110 Guerlain fragrances and you can even customize fragrance bottles!
Angelina Paris – Rue de Rivoli

Another favorite hotspot is Angelina Paris. As soon as it opened, Angelina became the place to be among the Parisian aristocracy. Coco Chanel was a regular, daily customer just for the “Chocolat Chaud a L’ancienne L’African”. I will definitely come back next time to try their famous hot chocolate but now I ordered the classic Mont-Blanc. The Mont-Blanc’s unique, unrivalled recipe has made it Angelina’s famous trademark pastry since 1903. The tea room itself is worth the wait (yes usually there is a queue outside), because when you finally step in, it looks like a museum!
Also took a box of macarons with me from Angelina, they were delicious!
Eiffeltower
Finally we also had time to visit the eiffeltower at night and take a boat trip along the Seine River!
Oh wauw prachtige foto’s allemaal. Ziet er gaaf uit!
